State Parks are fantastic ways to get in touch with nature and explore our landscape. Likewise, Wildlife Management Areas are open to the public for various recreational activities like hiking and paddling. They help not only conserve our natural beauty, but also allow people to experience it firsthand. There are also wonderful nature trails in many small towns, such as Cypress Park in Pocomoke City and the Stephen Decatur Nature Walk and Pond in Berlin. Cypress Park features a 1.5 mile trail with a unique interpretive wooden boardwalk that traverses a bald cypress swamp.
