Executive Director, OCDC

It is important for local organizations, such as OCDC, to support the Beach to Bay Heritage Area.  Our heritage area contains significant natural, cultural and historic resource assets.  Not only do these resources help in promoting the heritage of the area, but also bring substantial financial benefits to many small businesses who benefit from heritage tourism.

This is an effort to draw together the benefits of a natural environment that needs to be protected and discovered. So glad to support this organization.

Living History, whether its a restored church or community trail, tells a story. I am glad to give to an organization that helps preserve, promote and celebrate our heritage.

Executive Director, Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District

Being a member of the Bay to Beach Heritage Area gives our non-profit a connection to resources, historic information and grant opportunities that we wouldn't have otherwise. This group is invaluable in the effort to create collaboration and protect the natural and historic charm of the eastern shore!

Co-Owner
Ayers Creek Adventures

I feel it's important to support the Beach to Bay Heritage Area because of all the wonderful resources we have here on the eastern shore of Maryland. In particular, we have some gorgeous open spaces and preserved lands and beautiful waterways. To preserve and protect these and to get people out on that water to really see all that the shore has to offer is really important to me.

One of the key influences of our membership is the ability to take advantage of the grant opportunities. Restoration of our museums such as the Costen House, the Sturgis One Room School and the Discovery Museum will benefit us greatly.

Not only does the Beach to Bay Heritage Area support the economic vitality of the lower shore’s heritage community, it also creates a great networking opportunity for all the organizations to keep in touch with and support each other.
